Bishop Harry Jackson prayed over the nation and the president.
On Good Friday, President Donald Trump held an Easter blessing event at the White House. He took time to wish Americans a happy Easter and called on the nation to pray for healing, to pray for the first responders, and for all those who are ill and battling the coronavirus.
The president said, “Our people are making tremendous sacrifices to end this pandemic.” He added, “Though we will not be able to gather together with one another as we normally would on Easter, we can use this sacred time to focus on prayer, reflection and growing our personal relationship with God, so important.”
He continued by calling for prayer, “I ask all Americans to pray that God will heal our nation, to bring comfort to those who are grieving, to give strength to the doctors, nurses and health care workers, to restore to the sick and to renew the hope in every person who is suffering.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For God’s name to be glorified through the celebration of Easter and remembrance of Christ death and resurrection.
- For God to be with all of the first responders, medical personnel, and others who are working non-stop to save lives.
- For healing for the many Americans who are ill due to the virus.
